The President of NAIS is Dr. Jeremy Meyers. From 1997 to 2012, Jeremy served as a U.S. Army Signal Officer in a number of critical supervisory roles. From 2001 to 2003, he served as a Brigade Operations Officer in NATO’s former Regional Signal Group at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Belgium. At the same time, he led the Communications Coordination Cell (SCCC) of the European Supreme Allied Commander, General James Jones. From 2003 to 2005, he was the Commander of the 128th Signal Company – the single U.S. Army IT service unit located on SHAPE. In this capacity, Jeremy supervised the U.S. Satellite Communications unit located at Menwith Hill, U.K and was the supervisor of the SACEUR’s travelling communications team. His more senior assignments include time as a Foreign Area Officer Representative at the George C. Marshall Center for European Security Studies and as an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy, West Point.

Jeremy retired from active duty in 2012. He has a B.S. from the United States Military Academy, West Point and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Logic from Stanford University. Between 2009 and 2014, he was an invited speaker to many professional academic venues in both United States and Europe. His academic research centers on the interconnection between space and subjective experience and he continues to produce results in model theory, the theory of computation, and Boolean algebra.

Jeremy is a proud American Indian and a member of the Santa Rosa Band of Cahuilla Indians, a federally recognized tribe located in the San Jacinto Mountains of Riverside County, California.
