About the Role:

Clearance Required: Secret

NAIS is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Expert to support Navy IT operations and mission systems. This position requires deep technical experience with Cisco-based infrastructure, network security tools, VoIP technologies, and DISA compliance standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, securing, and maintaining the Navy’s LAN/WAN infrastructure and communication environments. You will be responsible for both operational support and the architecture of future-ready network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Cisco Network Infrastructure:
- Administer and configure Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 networking components, ensuring reliability and performance across Navy networks.

Security & Voice Technologies:
- Manage and configure Firewalls, IDS/IPS, CUCM, VoIP, and Wi-Fi systems across unclassified and classified environments.

Cable Management & Compliance:
- Gather cable management requirements and ensure network installations comply with Navy and DoD standards.

STIG Compliance & Security Hardening:
- Secure Cisco environments in accordance with DISA Security Technical
- Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and Navy cybersecurity policies.

Network Architecture & Design:
- Design and scope LAN/WAN infrastructures including cryptographic (EKMS) devices and long-haul communications solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.

OR Ten (10) years of relevant IT experience may be considered equivalent to the education requirement.

Six (6) years of experience in the IT field demonstrating:

- Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 infrastructure experience;

- Firewall, IDS/IPS, CUCM, VoIP, and Wi-Fi administration and configuration;

- Gathering cable management requirements and ensuring compliance;

- Securing Cisco environments per DISA STIGs;

- Scoping, designing, and architecting LAN/WAN infrastructure including EKMS and long-haul requirements.
